I know it's a little late for this kind of post but better late than never right? Usually picking out favourites from a year's worth of reading is a slightly daunting thing & its hard to narrow down the list. But this time, the ten books that did make this list stood out from all the rest and it was easy to pick my very favourites. All of these books are so dear to my heart & I already cannot wait to reread all of them! So without further ado, here are my top ten reads of 2020 in the order in which I read them. Mary Barton by Elizabeth Gaskell // 4 stars "Mary Barton, the heroine of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel, is beautiful but has been born poor. I have been thinking about my wardrobe lately and how I want to curate it more carefully and also invest in good quality pieces that will last. At the moment I am working on my Spring-Summer wardrobe and I have noticed there are definitely some gaps I need to fill. His joy, sadness, grief, anger, depression, hope, gladness, the lot! I love going back to the Psalms to read and meditate over them. Over the years a few have stuck out to me and remain some of my favourites and I am going to share them with you now. ~Psalm 139~ If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. (v.9-10) Psalm 139 is so beautiful in my eyes! The language used is quite poetic, as you can see from these two verses. I just love it so much! ~Psalm 119~ Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him...
