Hello!
Hello!
I'm back after an unintentional but much-needed break and I'm brimming with new ideas for this blog. It's been a wonderful but busy summer for me and I am sorta looking forward to the cosy days of autumn that will be here soon.
Hopefully, things will calm down a little as summer ends. I'm excited to return to this blog & start sharing content on here again.
Oh, it's a new year, 2021 is upon us. 2020 went by in a blink! Now we're at the end of February and I haven't got any actual written down goals or resolutions for the new year but there have been a few floating around my brain which I might as well share here since this post will be tiny if I stop now!
Reading goals :
I have several goals for my 2021 reading. One is that I want to try and stick to reading only the books that I have sitting on my shelf at home. I will only allow myself the occasional book from the library or borrowed from a friend. But I want to have read all the books I own and so I'd like to work on that in 2021.
Last year I began more avidly reading classics which is something I definitely want to continue into this year. I also want to branch out into some genres and types of books I wouldn't usually pick up like fantasy, biographical works and middle grade (which I discovered a taste for some time at the end of 2020).
Other goals :
Last year I began to play the piano a bit more and this year I want to work on improving my skills and in particular, get better at reading music.
I am learning a piece called Merry Go Round of Life from Howl's Moving Castle at the moment and I'm loving it. Next on my want to learn list is A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman.
In 2021, I want to push myself to try new things, even seemingly small new things, to build my confidence and to have exciting & new experiences. Things like trying ice skating, riding public transport alone (which I have never done because I've never had the need and because to be perfectly honest, it scares me a little) and try my hand at pottery.
One of the things I am ever so grateful for is the friendships I have made over the last few years. So in 2021, I really want to cherish those, to help them flourish and truly appreciate them and be sure that I pour back into my friends as they have so wonderfully poured into my life. Friendship is so vital and I just want to make the most of each one I have.
That's all for now dear readers. Not much I know but I'll be back with a new post next week hopefully.
keep blooming,
Hannah
