My January Favourites
I have been up and down on these monthly wrap up sorts of post and I have come to the decision to end each month by summarising all my favourites of that month.
So without further ado (and because I am terrible at writing these intros), I give you my January Favourites!
Books
~ Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board by Bethany Hamilton
For the first book, I read this year it kicked off my reading really well. I read it in almost a day and it was truly inspiring. I didn't realise that Bethany was only 14 when she had the accident.
I wrote a review on Goodreads here.
~ Always Watching by Lynette Eason
I wrote an in-depth review here on this blog.
Music
JJ Heller ~ I discovered Meant to Be by JJ( Jennifer Judy Heller) in December I think and then looked at her other stuff and fell in love with her style.
My faves are Daylight, The Well, Scarlet Thread, Father-Daughter Dance, This Year, Boat Song to name a few.
Take My Life And Let it Be was also a song that I got to love. My favourite version is by Jadon Lavik and it simply makes me smile, I don't know why.
Also, Farther Along was a fave this month.
Movies
~ That Darn Cat
This was such a hilarious movie and a great one we could watch as a family. My younger siblings really loved it and it was cute to hear their giggles erupt every few minutes.
I highly recommend this oldie!
I rewatched The Magic of Ordinary Days and The Man from U.N.C.L.E too. (And they are two of my favourite movies)
Events
| This is the marquis where all the meals are served during Family Conference. |
This year we had some extra special visitors.......Mr & Mrs Duggar and all of their unmarried children(except one).
It was so cool to see them, meet some of them and hear what they had to say.
I got a photo with Mrs Duggar and they gave away copies of The Duggar girls' book, Growing Up Duggar. Signed too!
Beside meeting them, I also just had an amazing time seeing friends and being encouraged.
Two of my younger siblings also had birthdays. My brother turned 6 and my sister turned 2.
We celebrated with a combined birthday party for both of them.
Food & Drinks
Smoothie Bowls ~ I love having one of these for breakfast now. It's basically a smoothie poured into a bowl and you put toppings on top. Nuts, seeds, fruit, granola or all of them!
Teeccino ~ I mentioned this in one of my latest posts. There is a plain French Roast version that is like a regular coffee but we just got a whole lot of other flavours. The ones I have tried so far (Mint, Hazelnut and Maya Chai♥) are delicious. I think it's a great coffee replacement.
This is the website for more info.

| In love with this flavour! |
Sago Pudding ~ It's hard to explain this but if you are interested I can share my recipe!
MISC
Resene paint test pots ~ I love getting the small pots of paint to use for different projects. I repainted some picture frames and some other objects in my room to fit with my blush pink and grey theme
I 'm going for.
Burt's Bees Lipstick ~ Mine is a sort of brown-pink lip colour that we got from Vanilla Bloom online. It's my first makeup item and a great starter shade for new lipstick wearers.
Pink Paint Dipped mug ~ I love it a lot I have been drinking all of my hot drinks out of it. I don't know where it was from so I couldn't find a picture.
And thus ends this post for my January faves.
What were your favourite things you discovered in Jan?

This was a fun post, Hannah! (I love Burt's Bees lip colors. My favorite is sort of a coral color, and it really complements my skin tone. I much prefer it to regular lipstick for its lightness.)
